Setting up your localization environment

Creating your first translation project
Now for the exciting part – let’s set up your first translation project with Gridly:
Step 1: Create a Profile
- Create a new Grid in your Gridly dashboard for WordPress content
- Locate your API key and View ID from the API quick start panel
- In WordPress, go to Gridly Integration > Profiles
- Click Add new Profile and enter your credentials
Step 2: Configure your translation setup
- Navigate to WPML > Translation Management
- Add Gridly as a translator
- Set your language pairs
- Your Gridly profile will appear as
@Gridly@_[Your profile name]
Step 3: Start translating content
Here’s where the magic happens. To send content for translation:
- Go to WPML > Translation Management > Dashboard
- Select the pages or posts you want to translate
- Choose your target languages
- Assign the content to your Gridly translator
- Send it to the translation basket
- Go to the Translation Basket tab
- For each language pair, set the Gridly translator created in the previous step as the translator
- Click Send all items for translation
